some thoughts on polyamory

if you're *trying* to please your spouse, you're doing it wrong. if you're putting sooo much effort into pleasing your spouse, that's just not right. you are not living, you are not *free.* you are trapped, and that's not love...
listening to dave&chuck this morning, they were talking to a guy considering finding a 2nd wife, here locally.... dave says something like "it's already hard enough trying to please 1 wife, why bring in a 2nd wife? you're putting in so much time & effort for the 1..." etc etc....
i'm glad i understand polyamory. because i believe one of the basic things you need for polyamory to work is freedom, communication, openness. this also is pertinent in monogamy. you need to just *be* yourself, love yourself, and everything flows from *there.* when you love yourself first, you are free, unchained, able to love others, even multiple others! when you love yourself and open your heart, you will be surprised how much love you can give, how many people you are truly able to love, and honor, and make feel special.
if you're "putting in so much time and effort" into *pleasing* your spouse, well, to me, that sounds like you're living in a cage...
