some new feelings
Well, I guess "be careful what you wish for" is a good example of today! I woke up and got out of bed and my right leg just buckled and I fell forward. Luckily I caught myself on the chair in my room. I wonder sometimes if I shouldn't just let myself fall and get hurt. Of course, my body doesn't react that way. I debated long and hard about coming in to work. I really don't feel well, but I don't have leave that I can just call and take a day. I have worked hard at building up 2 days of annual leave and 4 hours of sick leave. I think it is pathetic. I had so much leave built up at one time. I also used to enjoy my job and got along well with my co-workers. Now, the co-workers have retired and moved on and I am stuck with the evil bitches that I work with. I truly "hate" them and that makes it difficult to work.
I had a doc appt yesterday. He keeps me coming in every 6 weeks. I am slowly weaning off of my anti depressant and he is keeping tabs on that. I thought maybe, just maybe the anti depressant was causing these problems. He told me yesterday that it would appear they are not. I am on such a low dose now and it is not one that stays in my system for long periods. But, he is taking me off of it altogether. He is putting me on neurontin though. He discussed my neuropathy with me and said the neurontin will help with the pain. So, he sent a script in. I guess I will get that today or tomorrow. I had electric shocks thru my calf in my right leg yesterday all afternoon. At first they were just annoying. After a several hours though, they became painful. Finally after 5:00 pm they stopped. I could tell my leg was not going to be ok today though. It is changed as the pain goes all the way up the back of my leg. Previously it was just my foot and calf area. Now the whole leg is weak and aching. My right arm hurts too. I really just want to go back to bed. The fatigue is extreme today. I should have taken one of my daughter's old Concerta that she no longer takes. I have read those are what people are given for energy. I think I want to be miserable today though. Since I have to be at work, why be pleasant!? LOL
Ah well, I ramble and complain a lot...Time to get to work.

I too was having such awful pain in my left arm and leg that it was almost unbearable. The Baclophen didn\'t touch it so the MS doctor put me on Neurontin telling me that it was caused by nerve pain. It is one of those drugs that you have to build up the dose gradually. It has really helped. I take 600 mg at night with 2 Baclophen and sleep better than I have for over 20 years! I also take them every 8 hrs during the day and no longer have pain so bad I want to saw off my limbs. Hope you have as good of results as I have. Gentle hugs, Linda
Hope you feel better soon. I know the fatigue is a killer. There are some days I want to crawl back in bed and stay. It sounds like you are having one of this days. It makes it worse when you have to work with people you do not like. Hang in there!
