Some bad some good

I got some news some bad some good.
I am having some more health problems that are getting worse. Taking the steroid MS protocol every 2-4 weeks for the last 1.5 yrs have finally caught up with me. I have an irregular heart beat, it was starting to act up so they increased my heart pill. I have gained allot of weight (allot). My blood sugars are up most of the time. I have put fluid on (allot of that as well) It is felt that the steroids are building up in my system. So I am not going to take them anymore unless my breathing is affected. So in the nest few months I will continue to get worse. I do not know how bad it will get. I am hoping the chemo has helped some & shrunk the lesions at least some. I am a bit worried about how bad I will get.
OK now for some good news. Last week I went home for a few hrs & it started to rain. Bruce (Hubby) said it was too bad I could not just stay the night. This past couple of days we talked about me coming home for the weekends. I talked to my doc & he said I could go home. I am in a program that funds me to hire PSW's (personal care attendants) so now I have to hire some. Once I do hire someone I can go home for the weekends . I am going to start to go home Sat nights. Leave here Sat mornings & come back Sun nights.
I am looking forward to it. I do not know how long I will be able to do this. At present I can transfer on my own. I use a transfer board & slide over. Once I get to the point that I can not transfer using the board I will not be able to stay over/night. Unless I get a lift at home plus a hospital bed. I do not think they will do that for only going home weekends.
I am looking forward to being able to cuddle with Bruce. To just spend time with him without looking at my watch all of the time.

This is wonderful news that you can go home and be with Bruce, even for a little while. I have tears of happiness. A good holding one another and cuddling warms my heart for you. Just take it easy health wise, don\'t try to over do. Just put Do Not Disturb sign on the dor an enjoy one on one time with your husband. Hold hands, watch a movie, just the two of you. I am so excited for you. Have a great time.....hugs my friend Diane

I\'m so happy for you and Bruce. I\'m sure he is just as happy as you are. I know this has been a lonely time for him as well. And don\'t forget your furry child. You are a family of 3 after all. Enjoy the time together while you can. Soak in every moment so you will have fond memories of quiet times together.

Gentle hugs and joined at the heart, Linda
