Sobriety is just so good

For the past week and a half I have just feeling so good. By that I mean,"NORMAL." nothing really has changed, just how I have been feeling. I've been taking care of things, the way they should be, and the reward is a sense of contentment, peace, happiness, and likeing myself for doing the action, instead of dislikeing myself for just wishing that things would get done somehow. Recovery is a lot about doing things differantly, and working towards the rewards that come as a result. I see many people in recovery waiting for God to change them, and it doesn't work. God has provided everything that we could ever need. What we consider good, and bad. Yea, he does provide things that we consider bad, but it's only bad because of our limited understanding of God's spiritual nature. We often wonder why God would create, or allow bad things, but any situation you look at, God has alowed us the gift of choice, and our problem are all the result of what man chose to do, not God. Often afterwards we often blame God for the bad things that happen as a result of man's own choices. We have choices when we are not enslaved by our addictions, and fears. The choices are up to us, and any change in our lives, we need to make them happen with action. Not wishfull thinking. Lately I've noticed that I am making good choices. I could easily choose to drink, but what for? All it ever does now is bring negativity into my life, and I don't want that. To think that we actually paid lots of good money just to feel miserable. That is insane. It's wrong thinking, and it's our thinking in which lies our disease. The lies that we have developed from a spiritually sick mind, and the choices that resulted from it. God thank you so much for giving me the blessing of choice, and your wisdom that has allowed me to make those good choices. Please continue to teach me, with everyday, your ways. Thank you, and Amen.
