So what now...

It has been 3 weeks since my last journal.  Nothing has really changed I am still having the same issue.  My chest itches and is painful.  I have been faithful using lotion but it is not making anything any better.  I am starting to break out a bit because I am using it often.  I do not think its worse but that could be frog in a pot of boiling water situation, but I know for sure it is not any better.

So now what...

I wanted to give my Doctor's advice time to work just in case it was correct and honestly I really wanted it to be correct, because dry skin wont kill you.  I also was hoping since this started around the time I got my period I was wanting to see if during my next period maybe it would stop.  Like if there was a hormone out of whack then maybe a period would reset my system and then it would stop.  That did not happen either and was probably wishful thinking on my part.

Once again I am faced with the question of what to do now.  My ob is offical gone from the office so I can't see her or even email her to ask what we should do now. Because at least if she was still there even if I couldn't see her right away I could at least email and ask her advice about if I should make an appointment or not. I got assigned to a new ob that was male but I switched it to a female ob because I am really uncomfortable with a male ob I mean I will go to one if that is the only option but it makes an uncomfortable situation a 1000 time more uncomfortable for me.  I just looked to see when the soonest appointment is and my ob is booked solid for like a month now they do offer give you a choice to go see one of the others in the office which I am considering but the soonest they have an appointment available is in 2 weeks. That is a long time.  I don't understand why the wait time is so long it was never like this before.  Maybe they lost more then one ob and haven't hired more yet?  IDK

I just wish I knew how worried I should be about this.  Like if my doctor had the same symptoms would they be concerned or would they chalk it up to dry skin that will get better when winter time is over and move about their day unbothered a bit inconvienced but essentially fine with that diagnosis.  Or would they be concerned that after a month it is not any better at all and go back to their doctor.  You see because of my health anxiety my heath meter of how concerned I should be about something is faulty.  I have gone off the rails about some things that turned out to be nothing so I don't trust myself anymore when it comes to gauging how worried I should be.

Honestly if it was just itching I would probably give it a bit more time because I have itching else where like my back and my arms due to the winter time weather, but it is the burning pain that inside the breasts that make me think something else is up.  Also the longer this goes on the more I worry there are no rashes or open sores or anything but then I find myself thinking has that pink bumps/discolorations on my nipples always been there or is it new and something to worry about?  I must be honest I don't stare at my breasts all that often even when I do self-exams.  I think they are the same as they have always been but I am not sure.  The only thing I find sort of comforting is it is happening to both if it was just one it would be more suspicous of course my anxiety brain has a answer for that: it is happening to both because it has spread.  So it is a shallow comfort at best.

Well I've rambled on for a bit but really haven't figured out the answer to what next?  So here goes: I will probably make another appointment and see another doctor and see what they say.  Maybe they will say the same thing and tell me to give it more time, and I will have just embarrassed myself or they might decide to run some tests.  IDK but I do know I need to ask again, because right now I am just torturing myself with the possibilites.
