So I know it's going to take some time
The journey of extreme weight loss sensibly takes a long time. I am at 305 and proud that I keep losing. 12 lbs a month is my goal. But thinking about it in the long haul is sometimes daunting. I know that if I keep it up by this time next year I will be under 200. I'm excited about that prospect. Sometimes the journey is hard, sometimes it's easy. I guess it just depends on the day. Today I want to exercise. I have been doing it the last couple of days in a row and afterwards I feel great. Yesterday it was only 15 minutes but I was busting my butt with housework throughout the day and I feel that counts. I really would like to move my way up to 30 minutes of exercise daily + housework and stuff. I think I may have to ease myself into that. I went down 4 lbs from last week. Very happy about that. So I'm setting myself another new goal. By September 19th I want to be down 25 lbs. That's a little more than what I usually do but I want to be under 300 by the time I see my doctor. She has been trying to get me to lose weight for the last 12 years. That will put me at 280 which the last time she saw me 4 months ago I was at 354. She said most people my size do not lose weight. I want to prove her wrong. I want to lose all the weight and tell her that it is possible to lose all this weight without surgery. I want to do it the sensible, healthy way. Not extreme wrong way like the Atkins diet. So far I've reached every goal I have set for myself. So I'm not going to give up trying.
