So I binged last night
I am slowly realizing my triggers for binging. And eating late at night. 2 things recently that I can think of. When I can't get to sleep I go to the fridge. Because of my history with sleep it makes me real nervous and I can't sleep. The other thing is the sleeping medicine makes me voraciously hungry when I take it at night. So yes last night I couldn't sleep and I ate some chili and doritos. I finally fell asleep but I'm trying so hard not to eat 3 hours before I go to bed. It's very difficult for me at times. I feel overwhelmed sometimes at the process even though I totally appreciate it. I am happy that I am finally taking care of me. And realizing that true beauty comes from within. I want to be everything God has created me to be as far as a virtuous woman so I can attract a Godly man. No matter what weight I am.

Glad you are on a journey of self discovery stephanie. I too find that when I am up alone late at night watching TV, is a trigger for me to eat in secrecy. I have had issues with sleep, and also waking up in the middle of the night with low blood sugar, RAVENously hungry, and going to the fridge to stop the hunger pain at 3 a.m.
I notice, if I avoid sugar and refined carbs/grains, and I eat 3 meals, plus 2 protein snacks a day, and maybe even a third snack, staggered every three hours, my blood sugar stays more stable and this phenomenon does not happen as easily.
But, learning to love myself enough to eat 3 meals and 2-3 snacks a day takes time, effort, patience and consistence. Like it is 2 p.m. Eastern Standard Time, and I have been online all afternoon, and had only coffee this morning....better go get a meal and practice what I am sharing!
Thank you for sharing!
You know I do eat 5x a day with usually a handful of nuts as my snack. I just get a little panicky when I can\'t sleep because I have been hospitalized because of not sleeping a few times. I really have to get the root of the problem which I believe counseling will help me with. I\'m also realizing that I have always had an issue with food my whole life even when I was skinny. The journey to self discovery is sometimes painful but so important if we want to be healthy and whole individuals. So I\'m willing to go through it as hard as it is at times. Because I know on the other side of it will be a strong confident woman ready to handle anything that is put in front of her.
