So Called Friends
I removed/unfriended 3 "so called" friends today. They never contact me and they no longer answer my messages. If it were't for a very few "friends" I would just leave this website. There re 5 more on my "friend list" that are questionable friends and will probably be removed/unfriended in the near future.
These "so called friends" are those that I have prayed for, encouraged and been there for, in some very difficult times in their lives. Now, either due to my age, who I am or what I am, they have decided to ignore me or abandon me. My friendship now longer means anything to them.
It may be because of this screwed up change this website made. I don't like it and I never have since the change was made. First they took chat then, they changed the entire format of this website. I miss what we once had here.
However long I choose to remain here, I will continue to try and be a blessing, an encourager and a friend to those who need me and wish to converse with me.
Being I was once a drug user, a Biker and an alcoholic who has dealt with depression, divorce, a nervous breakdown and the loss of my son, I thought I could possibly be a help to others. There are few things I haven't experienced in my life or been around. What I have seen and have endured would give many, nightmares. Many, who lived as I did, are dead. Murdered, killed in some time of accident, or have committed suicide. Still, I am here, trying to be a compassionate and caring friend. It seems, after being here over 8 yrs. people still do not truly know me.

I hear you about the new site.... I miss the way the old one was. It was much easier to send someone a hug without having to click on their profile, you could just hover over their avatar and click hug. They also had a way to send out a pile of hugs at once. Oh and there was the picture albums too. All this plus chat. I felt closer to my friends back then. After the site changed, I pretty much lost all friends but a few. It didn't help that I had to make a new profile because DS locked me out. There are a lot of support groups now on FB and I think people flock to them, but I like anonymity. All I can do is hope for new friends... good friendships.
Thanks for your reply, Blue
Thank you for sharing. Know that you are a tremendous blessing to those you have known. I am thankful to know you. The Lord uses us, even when we don't know it. It is disheartening, because we don't know. It is still important and real help. You are in my prayers, and I hope to do my best to honor being called your friend. Thank you and God Bless.
Hi Pee Wee...sending you lots of love. I miss the old format too..and seems like only some notifications are working..sigh. I haven't been on much but I think of you often. Hugs!!
