Snails should go so fast!
Hehehehe.
Ok, my surgeon has begun talking about setting up an appointment for scar reduction, and has loosened the restrictions on how much weight I am allowed to lift. I don't go see him again until January 3rd - that's how well things are healing!
Everyone has been commenting on how much better - and happier - I look, asking if I've lost weight or not. By the scales, no; but by my clothing, yes. Clothing I haven't been able to fit into in a couple of years now fits loosely - my hips and butt have gotten less "full" - jeans are slipping off as I walk. Time to wear that belt I got a couple of months ago!
I've been doing more walking, since I'm still banned from upper-body exercises until I finish healing. And trying to keep a close watch on my food portion sizes, as well as on the intake of sugared drinks - tea, sodas, sweetened juices - you'd be surprised how much difference just removing sodas from your diet really can make. I can eat whatever I want; just mind the portion sizes and number of portions. That helps during the holiday feast seasons - big family, loads of favorite dishes - I can still partake and enjoy, just not as large an amount of each item.
I have added in a supplement that pushes more calories into muscle production and away from fat production. Not because I want to bulk up - though some muscle gain would be nice - but because I figure it might reduce the fat I usually gain this season. Less fat on, less to loose later.
I find I like my body more - and myself - since starting on this path. I've been told by others that they enjoy being around me more now, too.
I like liking myself more. I like being me, Joe.
I finally like my life!
I think this might actually be what happiness feels like.
Time I finally faced trying to use that STP I got myself a few months ago.
