Slowly Bit by Bit getting Better!
I have finished the three day course of steroids. I feel better then I have in a couple of months. I have better movement & feeling. The only down side is I am jittery. I can not seem to stop moving. But that is OK if the plus side is the movement. I am more independent now then I have been in a couple of months as well. It feels good to be able to do for myself.
I have made an effort to join groups instead of hiding in my room. It seems to be getting better. I was alone for so much of the last 8 yrs. Another step in the right direction is the CI training I will start Wed. It is going to be 9 - 3 Hr sessions. It might be tiring but I am looking forward to be working on the crisis line. Being able to help others. I also got an email from the volunteer coordinator at SAC & they are making me a spot at the office (one that my chair will fit into with the right height for typing) so I can come in & do office work. I will also be going in to help lookafter children who Mum's are in councelling. I am looking forwards to this soo much, to be active once again.
Another fun thing. Bruce is getting a sm BBQ for us. The kind that uses real charcoal so the taste will be great. We are going to sit at the gardens near our apartment building & have our fill of BBQ. It has been awhile since we have done "fun" things together. We have been in the mode that all we thought about was getting through the day. Both of us suffered when I was getting worse. It was like running a race but never taking your eyes off of the next step. While it is hard to say I wish I came in here a few yrs ago. Finally I am enjoying the day. My personal care is done, my food is brought to me, my doc comes to me. All of my treatment is done. So now I get to enjoy the time I have with Bruce without thinking about all of that. We do not have to worry about anything. It is hard to explain the worry & stuff that is not here now.
I am slowly making my room more homey. To put up things that make me feel good. TODAY I FEEL GOOD!!!!

Kayce, your attitude is awesome, and I love the small grill idea! That is perfect!! Have you thought about getting a small dvd player for your room, and have Bruce come in so you can have a movie \"date night\" together? Make soome popcorn, and just enjoy one another. Keep your head up, and keep smiling! You are doing a fantastic job.......NEVER forget that. Concentrate on what you can do and not on what you CANNOT!! Love ya!

kayce, could not stop smiling and feeling all fuzzy for you! it is so great to read your uplifted entry... i feel the weight just dropping off your shoulders! just enjoy what you are feeling right now because it sounds HAPPY!!! put all the times with bryce (and the grill and the smell of it all) in your little \"memory-box-heart-space\" tucked away to draw from another time... many hugs, connie
As far as ideas for something to hang on your walls, have your thought about some pictures from calendars? Or artist\'s illustrations you and Bruce find encouraging. You could even have Bruce cut out photos of you two and paste them into the illustration.
Gentle hugs and joined at the heart, Linda

Kayce way to go! you so deserve to feel better!!
Yet another idea for putting something on your wall, have you thought about getting one of those electronic picture frames that store all your favorite pictures electronically and then alternates to a new photo every few minutes.
wishing you continued success!
