slipping back

I am having a difficult time right now. the past issue with my sister's visit I'm still trying to work through. Now, I'm anxious about my daughter coming to the states to visit. She'll be visiting my son first. I am hoping that my daughter will help my son deal with some of his anger towards me. Not that they have a bashing party. I know my daughter is pretty reasonable and kind. I hope her merciful spirit will talk with him.
I'm also worried that I will be scrutinized. She has not been with me in a year. I know she has watched the stages of healing I went through this year. I'm just scared that I will fall back to not coping well when she is here. I already feel myself slipping away. I'm tired all the time, I'm overeating, everything takes a huge effort to accomplish. I'm praying for God's grace and sufficiency!

Remember God will give you the grace to cope with your daughter\'s visit when she gets there. You don\'t have that grace today because the moment is not here yet. Don\'t feel alone in your struggles. I have battled my own addictions and have had a tough time coping lately. Just know I am praying for you and am here for you.

my therapist reminded me today, after a difficult visit with my mother, to identify my feelings without condemnation and then to figure out why I am feeling those things. Then to think about the reasons for the feelings in a rational way in hopes of lessening the severity of the backlash they cause. It helped me for today. Maybe remembering these simple things can be something for you to fall back on too.
