Sleepless nights are the worst.

It's times like right now where just existing seems to be the most unbearable. This isolation and lack of social interaction is causing my personality and social skills to slowly decay. I don't feel like I'm the same person as time goes on.

All I want out of this life is some financial independence and the love and care of that special someone. Is that too much to ask for? I feel like the universe is out to get me and keep me from having a shread of happiness.

Yes, physically, I know I'm an absolute wreck due to my disabilities and struggle with my weight, but I have a beautiful mind and soul. Why is that not enough? Is there no one out there who can accept me for who and how I am? I don't think there is. I've been looking for years. And even if that person does exist, how would I find them or they find me? I'm so isolated here in this room in this bed, 24/7. It just feels so hopeless.

sadly shut in lifestyle means you will probably not meet that special someone and living alone is the only thing that you can expect....but you have this social platform to make friends on....hugs

Have you tried the younow.com?

Its a livestreaming website but very strictly moderated. You can make friends with broadcasters and chat to them or if you can physically speak and not too shy you can guest with them in live stream or broadcast yourself.

If you haven't already, try to find online forums that cater to your interests and you will be sure to find social interaction there too. Just like you did here. What I do is sign up with a single gmail account which nowadays is compatible with just about everything and then I get desktop popup notifications of anything new on any of the platforms I use. It can really help quite allot with the isolation and being confined to one place the whole day.
