Sleep, Finally!

So last night I finally got like 8, maybe closer to 9 hours of sleep. And it felt wonderful! My back and side felt good, even. Yesterday, after I left work early, my back started to calm down and I was feeling less pain from kidney stones and more just discomfort. Every now and then a dull pain comes up. That I can handle.

This morning, I had already decided I would take it easy and relax. I started by sitting at my desk and organizing my digital music. I've been trying to organize my library for months now. (I have over 6.5k songs on iTunes. Saying that I love music might be an understatement.) Anyway, I did that for a few hours, but my back started getting uncomfortable - easily done sitting at my desk - so I decided to go lounge on the couch while talking about lunch with my mom.

After lunch, feeling full, but good, I decided to get on my exercise bike. I hadn't been on it since last week, and I ate a big lunch so I figured why not? I lessened the tension and just briskly cycled. It was nice! I had relaxing music on, I was feeling great. I did that for 30 minutes! I've never rode my exercise bike for 30 minutes at one time before.

I figured I'd slow down, drink a bunch of water, so I went back to my music. Didn't do that for even an hour, laid down and took a nap.

And ever since I woke up from the nap, my back and side are back to discomfort. I must have overdone things by getting on the bike. I did get my dad out of the house, went to dinner and then grocery shopping. But nothing crazy. Ugh. Hopefully sleep comes easy tonight. Tomorrow will be a busy day. More grocery shopping, with my mother this time, laundry, and cleaning. My little brother, sister in law and baby niece are visiting on Saturday, so we need to straighten up the house a bit. I'll have to balance what needs to get done with relaxing, and hopefully my back feels better - I don't want to get anymore optimistic that the kidney stones are gone and then I feel more pain.
