Sleep

I'm trying my hardest to stay awake throughout the whole day without naps. Soon I won't have a choice because I'll have a new job the 30th. I usually drink coffee but Ive decided to drink one around 2 or 3 in the afternoon and coffee in the morning. Gah those drinks are expensive.

Why don’t you make your coffee? It’s much less expensive!

I drink more coffee in the winter. I've been grinding a lb of organic coffee twice a month at my local health food store. the flavor is amazing, high test and it's enough to have a cup in the morning and fill my thermos for the day. I also always have a Nalgene water bottle with me so I never have to buy coffee or water. Saves money and I don't waste cups or bottles.
I rarely have a chance for a nap but those snowed in days can be great for that!
Good luck on the job start!

I am glad you will have a new job soon but I also validate how hard it can be sometimes to stay awake all day. I used to have a boss that drank tea all day, she was way too pepped up. She pretended her coffee cup had water and then I noticed her tea bag. She wore me out so I was always tired when it got time to leave for the day. It is good to try the new time routine now so you will be prepared come the 30th. I read this doctor online and he says to get outside in the morning in the sunshine so that one's melatonin receptors are strengthened so one can sleep better. He says it is early morning sun and the pineal gland, I think I am telling this correctly. But maybe trying to get up and get outside in the morning sun while you can, before you start this job. Might help reset things for you.

Yeah I don't have a car so I'm going to be walking to work. I think it will be before the sun comes up though. But still good to get blood pumping
