Sink Flooded
I was enjoying some time lying down this afternoon and I hear Angela crying and crying. I figure she just wanted some attention like always, and so I ignored her and let her stay outside the room. Geo gets up from his desk and goes to the kitchen, and our sink had flooded all over the kitchen floor. There was a couple of inches of water in the back where the fridge was. I guess that scared Angela and she was crying because she wanted to get to her food or her litter-box, both of which are on the kitchen floor. It was a big hassle, we had to call the maintenance guys and all 3 of them came over, started the snake down the drain from the roof upstairs, and eventually made it down to our apartment and snaked out the drain there. It was such a pain in the butt! I felt sorry for the maintenance guys, having all this water everywhere. They even had to wet-vac our kitchen floor to get the water out, and in our bathroom as well. We don't know how the water got to the bathroom... The sink, tub, and under the sink were all dry. Geo thinks that since the bathroom and the kitchen share a wall that possibly the water from the kitchen was coming through the wall to the bathroom. I just know that everything was flooded. It sucked majorly.
After that, Geo was all worked up, mad at the people upstairs, so I suggested we get away for a bit and go to Wendy's. I wanted Wendy's anyway, so we went. We had a nice time sitting there talking... it wasn't the 4 hour Taco Bell dates that we used to have, but we were there for like an hour or so. We like going to fast food places and just sitting and talking. It doesn't have to be expensive to be a date for us. I got a salad and a chili, which is what I normally get when I go there. Geo asked me if I was ever proud of him, and I said I was. I'm proud of him for trying to cut back on the soda and lose weight. He's trying to get that gastric bypass surgery, and I can see on him that he's losing weight. He goes to the doctor on Thursday to get weighed and just a general checkup. He said that every day that goes by that he doesn't feel like he's going to collapse is a good day for him and he's proud of himself for that. I know that he will have more and more good days as his weight goes down.
Mood was good today. I got good sleep last night, I got 13 hours or so, and I lay in bed for a while after that. I just love being in bed, all warm and comfy. Tonight it's supposed to get cold, and I'm going to wake up tomorrow with it all chilly outside and be warm and comfy in my bed. I don't want to get out of bed now, not to mention tomorrow, but I know I will have to. Geo's sister and mother are coming over tomorrow, and so I have to get ready for them to come over. We spent some time cleaning today and that was good. I got my workout in by cleaning and taking out the garbage (there were multiple loads of garbage to take out). I didn't get to walk today since my ankle was hurting, and between all the chaos and commotion of the sink flooding, it happened when I normally go take my walk. By the time everything had calmed down, there wasn't enough time for me to get my long walk in. I guess I should have tried for a shorter walk, but I didn't think about it then. I wanted it all or nothing. I have to get rid of that mindset... even a short walk is better than nothing.
Food was good today... I was in my calorie range, even with going to Wendy's. I get the apple pecan half salad, the small chili and part of a Frosty. I had more chicken soup for dinner and with breakfast as well, and a couple donuts that were left over from the other day. They are just slightly bigger than the little 6-packs they sell, so a couple of them were only a couple hundred calories. I'm actually lower than the calories that Spark People want me to be at, but in the range that I set for myself. I want to be above 1300 calories, and I'm just over that. I might be a bit more over it, since I ate more chicken soup tonight, but I don't know how to count the rice in the soup. I cook the rice longer so it gets huge, and so a cup of the huge rice is only like ¾ or ½ a cup of regular rice. I just like my rice soft. When I make soup, I like the rice to be big. I was thinking about getting some biscuits to make chicken and dumpling soup just to try that out. I've been feeling like I'm fighting off a cold for a while now, and having chicken soup is good for that. It helps me stay hydrated and the heat from the soup kills of germs in my throat. Well, we will see how I feel tomorrow. It's bound to be a long day, but I can do it!

Wow what a mess with the water flooding! Did it damage any of your belongings? You must have gotten plenty of exercise with the cleanup to replace the walk!
