Simple is harder than it looks
So, my cousin asked me to drop by (only 6 blocks away) today. She is working from home and we could have had lunch. But I was anxious about running into L my cleaning lady and having to pretend to be "normal." A friend said he'd like to take me for a walk at 4:30. I feel like I should go and get out of the house since I haven't today, but the time is getting closer, and I don't know if I can do it. I already feel bad that I didn't go over to my cousin's for lunch. And I know I will feel worse if I don't go for a walk with my friend. I can't figure out why I am getting anxious about something that "should" be so simple. If it were someone else, I'd say, "Go for a walk! The fresh air will do you good." Or something like that. I know what I "should" do but I have such a hard time with doing what I "should." Especially lately. I feel like if I say it out "loud" maybe I can figure out a way to deal/cope with it. Maybe it won't seem so big....
