SICK OF BEING SICK!
July 6/7, 2009: I am so tired of feeling yucky! I think I have the Swine Flu! Really! I have, or had, since the 16th of June, every single symptom! Then, our rabbit died. Now, we have a really sick cat. Craig still doesn't feel very well, either. Nothing to do about it except wait it out! I was so puny all of the school year, I really hoped to get healthy during the summer. NOT happening....... I haven't even been in the pool much. That is one of my favorite things! Craig will be on vacation from July 18-Aug. 2. I really hope we both feel better. We are going to our friend's, with the lake house, (photos), again, for a two or three days. I don't know what we will do the second week. I hope we can get away from the house! I really do like to be home. However, I find myself doing nothing. I have removed the statements, "I should do...., or I could be doing"...., from my vocabulary. Really. They just made me feel bad. So, instead, I just do nothing. (or sleep) The point is, if I am away from home, maybe I will feel like doing something. I am feeling like I am wasting all my time off. And yet, I am so worn out physically and mentally. These past two years have really taken a toll on my body, mind, and spirit. I have aged more, the past two years, than any of the other of the first fifty-one! I did, however, put stain, today, on a little wooden tote. I plan to put my Coke "silverware" in it. I am also going to make, with left over material, a little napkin "like" thing to put in the box. I also, the other day, did get the cover, for the food processor, made. Chris advised me, quite some time ago, to just do one "thing" every day. I have tried to take that to heart. No matter how small....I do try to do at least one "thing" every day...clean a drawer, make a cover, whatever....just one "thing" every day. It does help. And, I find, if I don't do that "thing", I feel guilty. In this case, guilt is good. It provides motivation. I need that! Oh boy, do I need that! Our Fourth of July was okay. My "biddy buddies", plus one husband, came over to watch the Willard fireworks from our backyard. Then, Adam, and several of his friends, shot off some home fireworks. It started raining and things pooped out for a bit. Finally, the rain stopped and Chris and his girlfriend came over. Many more fireworks were shot. Craig and I, being "old and tired" went in about 1:30 a.m. The "kids" continued without us! Imagine that?!?!?!? On Sunday we were all pretty tired. We slept late and then just watched a movie. I hardly ever watch a movie during the day! Today, Monday, wasn't too exciting either. Craig had errands in Springfield. I opted not to go with him 'cause they were not very interesting....haircut, getting shoes stretched, bank, etc. Mostly, I slept off and on. I finally took a shower about 4 p.m. and we grilled some steaks. I even made potato salad! That is impressive! So, another day down and ????? to go. I just wish the days I have left, however many they are, would be a little lighter and brighter!
