short & sweet.
i woke from my nap and wandered through the house.......flicking on a lamp.....puttering on low. did some house mouse honey do's.......whoopee. and then looked out the window........something was wrong with the view.
well well well.......another patio umbrella bites the dust. a moment of silence. sigh.
the temps have dropped and the wind has kicked way up, but i suppose ensconced within the warm white blankets i was clueless. i heard it whip around, but no i did not rise. instead my eyes closed .......and slept i did.
i pulled on a long pink sweater over my pink t and soft fuzzy hello kitty jammy pants........glamor girl all the way......and went out to look for the umbrella as it was nowhere in sight. it had traveled an impressive distance.......hit the main white picket fence in the far corner of the yard. Several of the metal arms are broken. another big branch is down on the other side of the yard...........big. a job for Bruce probably. I'll be able to tell more tomorrow. looked down, sigh, forgot to switch slippers for landgear......duh. oh well, what's a little mud? you should see all the leaves on the ground.......it has quadrupled since yesterday.
little lights were blinking in the house.......phone, stove, radio......computer had shut off...........i was thinking about getting one of those LED lanterns to upgrade my smaller flashlights. anybody out there try one? wonder if they put out more light.......? that would be my hope.
