shifting focus

when I set about thinking what I would like to do with my spare time, I tend to falter and get hooked up on those things that would make sense for me to do aka - what I SHOULD do -

when I am home from work, I take care of my daily business: chores, cleaning, phone calls and projects. Then I have time off to do whatever I want. I tend to turn on the TV and eat snacks - but that is not the 'be all, end all' of what I hope to do. I have gotten retiring and avoidant of exertion and the unknown.

I realize I have to push myself.

I think it's important to think about what I'd like to do - but then also take care of what I need to do and must do. There's a transition between the two. It's like I have a different focus of self for being shy and obedient - to strong and energized (but without focus.) I think I'd like to be happy about what I have in my life - but I think too - I can take that kind of pride for all that I take care of - given my diagnosis and personal limitations. I could open up to that in life that is about appreciating what my sights are focused on - within that context. I think this will help!
