Shift in prescription medication

My VA doctor has shifted me over to taking injected Testosterone now, instead of the applied Tgel. I will begin the twice monthly doses the end of the week. This has me a little nervous, as I have heard that the T can have stronger effects when injected, especially in the first few days after the injection. That's why I am trying to take it when I won't have to go out or interact closely with anybody for the first several times I take the shot.
No call back from Dr. Emerson's office - the VA has indicated he has refused to take me as a patient, as I suspected, when they failed to provide the data he required.... *sigh* I have little time left to find someone to see me, let alone to get things done in. 
 
At least my T levels will be easier to control. I doubt I will manage to find anyone(surgeon) the VA doesn't scare off somehow.
