Shaking All Day
I don't know if I can write a full journal for today, but I'm going to try. I didn't do anything today, just slept all day. I have been feeling the energy swings still, so the new medications haven't kicked in yet. I was shaking on the couch while watching a movie with Geo tonight with dinner. I have been shaking all day that I've been awake. I got plenty of sleep, with 14 hours overnight and a 3 hour nap. I just want to go back to sleep and take my pills so I can stop this shaking. It's hard to type on my lap with my legs shaking like they are, but I'm going to try anyway. I thought that it was because my blood sugar was low was the reason I was shaking since at first I was super hungry when I woke up, but it wasn't. I'm still shaking and I'm full. I'm not diabetic, but if I don't eat for a while I start shaking. I think it's left over from when I used to have ED. It's my body shutting down if I don't eat, to force myself to eat so I don't starve myself. It can get rather painful after a while, so it's an effective way for me to not starve myself, not like I'm trying to anymore. I'm pretty much recovered from my old anorexia, which is a good thing.
I was supposed to go for a walk today, but I slept all day. I was awake for a couple hours in the middle of the day, but I took a klonopin when I couldn't stop shaking and that knocked me out for the rest of the daylight hours. I can't go for a walk in the dark alone since I don't live in the best neighborhood. I guess I could have asked my friend Daisy if she wanted to walk with me, but I didn't know what she was doing tonight. I'm trying to be better about asking for help, but going for a walk at night isn't a big thing and I'm okay for not doing it today. I just have to make up for it tomorrow and go for a long walk. I was hoping to get it done today, but oh well. Things happened the way they did for a reason I guess. I don't know why yet, but things happen for a reason. I may not believe in God, but I can still believe in fate and stuff like that.
There were a bunch of people in the hospital who talked about God and such. I always find it hard to be surrounded by people who are believers, but it's just the way it is in this country. There was a guy in there who was preaching the last day I was in there, and I found him annoying. I didn't believe in what he was saying, and luckily he didn't turn his attention onto me, just onto the nurses who were there. There was a woman in there who was going along with what he was saying, saying things like “amen” and such to the things he was saying. The nurses had to separate the two, since one was a man and one was a woman and they don't let people of the opposite sexes get too close. They do that for obvious reasons. I just stayed away and did my own thing, which was watching TV at the time. I just tried to ignore him, which is what you have to do when you are in a place like that and people are talking crazy stuff. Not that talking about god in general is crazy, but the things he was saying were. I forget exactly, but he was saying everyone was going to hell and such.
Food today was good... I managed to get my calories in today because I ate a ton when I first got up from my nap. I was so hungry, like I said, I thought that the shaking was because I was so hungry and my blood sugar was down. It's calming down a bit now that I'm in bed and not stressed out. I wasn't too stressed today, but I was watching a movie and I got into it, so the ups and downs of the movie got to me. I was shaking during the tension points like it was my butt on the line. I watched Cowboys and Aliens, which is a pretty good movie. It was just long for someone who is having trouble sitting still. I hope I don't have akathesia again from the Neurontin. I got akathesia from another anti-psychotic, Prolixin. Akathesia is when you can't stop moving because of a side effect of the medication. It's hell in a bottle. I don't think it's akathesia, since I can sit still for now, just shaking. Before I had to get up and walk and when I was lying down I would turn from side to side like I had OCD. Mood today was okay... I was mad when I couldn't stop shaking, and still am a bit mad that I'm shaking so much. I hope this goes away soon so I can rest. I don't think it's the pills, since I wasn't like this in the hospital. I don't know what it could be. Anyway, I'm going to go now so I can get some rest. I'm tired and it's time for me to go to sleep anyway.
