shake it off.
i had a profoundly disturbing dream last night. very detailed, very scary..........nightmares are not my usual fare. when one comes it is hard to shake off. when i woke up .......Rio was lying against me with one paw on my neck...........ahhhhh, Annie was laying on my feet. heard the clock ticking and as i became more alert of this new day....... i felt reassured to be in my own bed, to be safe. The dream took me into a very dangerous place.......a very frightening mob mentality. I can't think what brought this on..........I don't watch movies that trip these kinds of triggers. I have been watching more news lately........while it's good to be informed and also need to respect that violence paired with living alone is not a great combination.
Shaking it off. Need to shake it off............torn between righting it all out in my private non DS journal and doing something completely opposite. Like turning on that show with that girl......what is her name? she took over for Cathy Lee.........wow, can't think of her name.......Live with Regis Philbin and ?.......then Reeg retired and now she co-hosts with a former sports guy named Michael..............ok then.
where do these scary things come from ? ..........how can i lock and bury that key? it is a rarity - it rattles my cage a bit...........maybe i need to sit outside on the porch swing a while and pray.

Both of you wrote about the same lady - Cathy Lee Gifford. She was with Regis & now has the show with Hoda.
Michael Strahan took Regis\'s place. He was a defensive end with the NY Giants until about 5 years ago. Strangely enough, Cathy Lee\'s husband, Frank Gifford, was also a football player with the NY Giants - only thing is he played many years ago, back in the 1950\'s & 60\'s. He is much older than her. He was also an announcer on Monday Night Football at one time.
Even odder, Regis will be returning to TV this fall. Fox is starting up a new sports network & he will be hosting a sports talk show. I\'m not overly impressed.
Do hope the dream was a one time thing.
Hey Little Bird, I love porch swings, and cant thilnk of a place I\'d rather talk to my Pappa! And He sure does deal with things that go bump in the night! Bin there done that, except I also make it about the last thing I remind Him about before I enter that land of \"sweet dreams\". He has never once complained about me reminding Him, and I sure feel a lot safer as I let go of wide awake thinkin\'!! Try it, it sure works for many who do........Big hugs & sweeter dreams!
I try and stay away from the news...too too much for me. Maybe that is what brought on the bad dream.

I used to have the same repetitive nightmare since I was a kid.There were three,I would get on a regular basis. As I began to deal with and put behind the abuse that I had gone through as a kid they subsided. I also wrote them out on paper and changed them to a positive outcome and when i would have these nightmares I would each night before I went to sleep would read my paper with the changed (positive) dream out loud. Now I don\'t have then at all. A friend of mine suggested this,and this person is a retired therapist.
