Settling in
I have been feeling better these past two weeks. I think I am finally setting in. I feel comfortable and calm, two words that have not decribed me in a long time. I am getting involved in groups here. Going to OT to help me think better. When I go to cards I am starting to play cards not just sit there.
I also have changed my focus. I have been spending all of my time doing things that will help me go home. Exercising trying to get stronger. But I was not in the day, trying to live this day the best that I can. I know if I go home there are going to be days when girls do not show up to do my care, so I was trying to focus on making meals that I could do now, small, quick meals.
Here's the thing I already know how to cook I just need a recipe. Cooking here was just making me tired and not much help to me. So now focusing on how to fill my time and help me get through the day. This will also help me at home as I will have time to get through there as well.
So now that I am busy during the day I am sleeping better at night. It is funny how some of these things are so simple but they do matter.
The steriods seemed to do their job. Today during bathing I was able to move the best in over two weeks. So there is some good news.
That is what I am going to try to do, focus on the day and not the future. Not to worry about it or to hang all of my hopes on it. To enjoy the day for what that day brings.

That\'s a very positive attitude that will serve you very well.
Math. 6:34 \"So, never be anxious about the next day, for the next day will have its own anxieties. Sufficient for each day is its own badness.\"
I tend to be a worry wart myself and try to keep that scripture in mind to help me enjoy today for whatever good it brings and not worry about tomorrow.
Gentle hugs, Linda
