Settling an estate without will took a long time.
Settling Smokey's estate without a will took a long time and lots of money. I am glad I only have 2 things left: selling the car and paying off the car loan. It's not bad in the course of one year. The year 2010 was settling Smokey's estate and mourning my loss of Smokey. It was a hard year.
I am hoping the year 2011 will be a much better year with positive things coming my way or happening to me like a full-time job would be nice to start. It seems like it took forever to get this far with Smokey's estate. It is totally frustrating. I am glad that it is almost over. I am getting the interviews just not the job. The last one, I didn't realize was for only 3 months, which the interviewer encouraged me not to give up as I have a lot of good skills to offer an employer. It lifted my spirits up a wee bit. After I thought a bit about it after I got home, I should not have declined the 3 month job. It would get me used to working again. Oh well, live and learn. Sometimes when our mind is set one way, we are not open to other possibilities.
I am just recovering from the cold, cough and flu. Yesterday, after the interview at 9:30 a.m. , I just slept most of the day away and slept well at night. I did not realize how sick I was because normally I don't sleep that much just my 7 - 8 hours. Today I am just a tad under but almost close to being normal again. I got 33 resumes out this morning. I spent most of the morning getting out those resumes. This afternoon I am doing laundery.
I wonder if Dave will call before he leaves work to see if he could pick me up and check up on me as well. It is Friday after all. When Dave called me yesterday I said I was too sick and wanted to stay home alone. He said okay. He might call today.

Hi Diann, I got the flu at 1:15 Tuesday AM, have felt horrible since then, my clients had it too so no work for me til Sat and Sun. Between gravol and immodium, I too have slept a lot. Hugs, Wendy

Same thing happened with me. My husband didn\'t have a will plus he owned a business. It took a year to settle everything. The first thing I did when I hired the attorney to take care of my husband\'s estate was to have my will made. I didn\'t want my kids to go through a hassle like I did. Informed all my loved ones to do the same thing. It opened my eyes to alot of things.
Diane, So many companies hire temp to perm here in the states. It is a way to get in a company and it can work to both you and the companies advantage..if you don\'t like it you can leave and if they don\'t like you they can get rid of you. I wish you much luck with your search...when I was looking for a job three years ago after being laid off from a company I had worked at for 17 years ...I decided to my sure my resume didn\'t reflect my age in anyway....just a tip...in the US they can\'t ask your age...and age discrimination over 50 is pretty big here...Good Luck...and I hope you feel better..Hugs, Ellen

I saw a report on the news that said most job offers are temporary or part-time. Funny. I took my fulltime job because I couldn\'t find anyone wanting to hire a temp or part-timer. Now, that\'s where the new jobs are.
What do you do? I think I kinda remember you talking about excel training, but my memory wasn\'t the best last year.
