Serenity
Im falling apart
but im wishing my war was over
Im falling apart
Barely fighting
So much pain
Still falling apart
holding on
I have a desire coin
held in the palm of my hand
My desire is to keep on fighting
And let every day begen
Yet I'm still healing
I'm holding on to hope
I'm holding on to faith that one day I will be free
I'm holding on to the serenity prayer still clinched in my hand
Even tho I'm falling apart inside ,I manage to stand.

Really good poem, have you been going to meetings? That is good if you have. I went for years and it really helped me out a lot. what kid of meetings are you going too. They really helped me a lot, I went for over yrs and they did a lot for me and my self image of me. And that is what was important to me without even knowing it. They really gave me a new way of living life and things were no longer as important as my head made them to be. I like your poem, I ended up writing oen myself becasue my kids were driving me nuts bipolars untreated. The can live a terrible life if they are not treated, and so my kids are really having a long rough time of it. Hope your well. Love the poem. Kacey
not about alcohol but i got it when i was in aa over a year ago,but i apply my coin to my bipolar life
I can relate . . . I collected those coins too. I hope that things can hang together long enough for things to start moving in the right direction. Sounds like you\'re doing the right things.
been to na meetings sorry to say they were too much of a downer to me.. with bp and going to these meetings it just made my bp worse.. it took a lot of strenght for me to even go.. your poem is a testament of strenght..
beatifully put as always!!! I love to read your poems.
keep fighting cuz victory is yours
Annie, I really like this one. the honesty level is clearly there.. It reflects that your struggle with the hard stuff is almost over . There will always be coming up things that we need to handle emotionally but nothing like what you are healing nowl I just love that you are putting yourself out there and letting go with truth and honesty as your weaponss in your war. You will will. Wars fought on this basis are surefire to be won. I so enjoyed reading this.
