Self improvement finished

The neighbours have started their harassment again. Police can do nothing if they don’t catch them in the act. Real estate agents are useless although they have a legal obligation to ensure I have quiet enjoyment of this rental. I realise I still don’t have the quiet life I so desperately wanted no matter how inoffensive I try to be. I don’t have a life worth living so why bother trying to stay healthy. I have nowhere to turn. The borders are closed, other rentals hard to find and I have no way to move my stuff either. Knowing my luck the next place could be worse anyway. I went and bought smokes and wine. I give up.

My issue is with my workplace of 9 years. I'm tempted to go back to my chain smoking habit, shaky. The temptation for me is to figure I'm such a high risk for COVID-19 by age, gender, diabetes, and chronic kidney disease that I might as well smoke again, even though I was diagnosed with COPD for it.

Problem? I'd have to go out to get cigarettes, and wouldn't it be ironic that I broke quarantine for smokes and THAT's why I caught COVID-19! So I don't. I get where you're coming from, though, shaky.

Cigs were my first exercise in "Social Distancing." My mother hated them enough to leave the room when anybody lit up. She was okay with smudging, campfires, etc., but those cigs got her morbidly obese knickers in a twist. I'll give up my germ mask before I give up social distancing my mother and her minions. It takes what it takes.
