Second Driving Lesson

Today I had my second driving lesson. I just need to work on parking. I was awesome at the backing up part of the test. I just need to learn how to park. We were just going over the basic things I needed to learn, so we never left the parking lot. It was good though. I'm going to take the actual driving test sometime before the end of the month. The instructor said that near the DMV there are people renting cars for the test. My car is just too big and we don't have a horn so we can't use it. We had to take out the horn over the winter. Twice our horn was just going off for hours in the middle of the night. Let me tell you, that's no way to win friends. So we had to take the fuse from the horn off so it couldn't happen again. If I really wanted to use my car I could just put the fuse in for the test, but I would rather rent a smaller car for the test. I just need a bit more practice.. find someone who will sit in the car with me while I drive. I wish I could just drive around the back of my apartment complex alone to practice. Oh well. I'm well on my way to getting my license!

It sounds like you\'re doing a great job. Have you made an appointment for the test yet? I was pretty nervous when I took mine but I\'m so happy to be able to drive now. It gives me options that I wouldn\'t have otherwise. I\'ve been applying for jobs in other towns and I\'d never be able to get to those jobs without my license. I think it will be the same for you.

I think the smaller car for the test is a great idea. My daughter did her first test with my Liberty but her second test she did with her Wave and it went a lot better for her. We have graduated licensing in Ontario so I\'m not sure if that applies to your or not but the smaller the car the easier the parking.

I still don\'t like parking but after you do it for your test you don\'t ever have to worry about someone else telling you where to park. I like parking at the back of lots because there is lots of room. As a bonus it gives me more steps for my pedometer.

Hang in there. You\'ll get it.

Who\'s teaching you to drive? Don\'t they take you on the road for practice?
Good luck I\'m sure you\'ll do great.
