School Paper
Paper for school need some advice due tomorrow. Please advice is needed. Thanks in advance. LoveRobin If you had 100% freedom and unlimited resources to build any website you like... What would you design / build? Write 2-3 paragraphs to explain your answer. I would first have to get all my information and supplies together to build my website. I would build me a family website. I would gather photos on my computer and organized in folders, photos on floppy disk and cd’s and organize them and then finally paper photos I would have to scan and put them on the computer. So this would be a big project for me. I have lots of pictures of my kids and many holidays for many years. After I get them in the computer I would organize them by family and holidays and have a place for pets also. I have three brothers and their families during holidays not counting my aunts and uncles on my mom’s side. We’ve had several family reunions in the last few years and travel twice from Tennessee to Las Vegas by RV and then my mom travel a couple times from Tennessee to the West with my step-dad by RV. My mother also travel several times taking grandkids on trips for graduation and took lots of pictures. I would also search through the internet and find music matching the pictures to each holiday and maybe a few videos. Then I would have a special page for my step-dad who died of cancer and a link to the cancer website. I have Neurofibromatosis and would have a link to there website and then I would have a link to Alzheimer’s website because my grandpa had this disease. A link to Daily Strength website which links too many people around the world that has chronic pain which I have this also; daily strength offers many groups of all kinds of diseases. My husband has Fibromyalgia so I would have a link to a website for more information.

The first sentence should be a topic sentence, and It really isn\'t , Maybe you should Start by saying, I Plan to design a Family web site, Then go on from there, some rearranging and grammer check, and this will be a great paper, Best of Luck , love.....S

My website would be a family tribute. I\'d gather all the photos in my personal pc which are organized in folders, those saved to floppy disk and CD\'s, and finally scan any paper photos I wished to use. This in itself would be a big project saving all my photos and organizing the folders as I have many photos of my children family holidays and events over the years. I also feel that searching the internet for music that matches the occasions would be a wonderful idea and perhaps a few videos. Many web surfers like the added touch of listening as well as viewing your site.
Once I have all the photos saved, I would organize them by family members, pets and holidays. This will give my site more content. My family is quite extensive as I have three brothers and several aunts and uncles on my mother\'s side of the family. An example of this is the traveling that we have all done by RV from Tennesee to Las Vegas to the family reunions that have taken place over the last few years. My mother and step father have gathered many photos as well by traveling with their grand children on RV trips for graduation.
I feel my site would be more personal if I added several special pages about disease processes that my family has experienced. I myself have Neurofibromatosis and chronic pain. Daily Strength is a site that I use frequently. It is a data base that offers support groups reaching the world for many illness. You join groups on this site and get great advice and build relationships with others who know exactly what you are going through. Other links I would include would be the cancer foundation in honor of my step father, Alzheimer\'s disease in honor of my grandfather, and Fibromyalgia as my husband suffers with this.
The key to a website that draws internet traffic is content. I myself have surfed many sites and I find that if it does not catch my eyes and ears on the first page I click out of the site. The opening page requires a boost that cathes the web surfers attention and interests them so they continue to stay on your home page and enjoy the research you have done.

I agree with the suggestions about spelling, grammer, sentence structure, etc. I also agree that it sounds like the teacher wants to know how you would build the site, not just what you would put on it. I like the idea of the links to other pages that inform people about diseases and other informative things. If you have anything saved that needs to be condensed try saving it to a flash drive and make a copy of your new site on the flash drive too. That way you have a copy saved in case it shuts down or gets lost for some technical reason. Your ideas are great and I think if you take the suggestions here you will do great.
