Schizophrenia II
Stigma flashbacks are haunting this morning, starting with being stuffed in a playground trash can by an older child who ". . .knew what to do with white trash" to the schizophrenia tragedy tales which haunted my gentle son, even on his most heavily medicated days. Perhaps most especially on his most heavily medicated days. Drug-induced psychosis was hot topic in the War on Drugs classes he graduated with honors. No one was ever able to convince him his meds didnae compromise his drug-free honors. The piss handlers who monitored his med compliance didnae look much different than the piss handlers who monitored his crack-head brother's legal compliance.
And now it is time to carry a grieving six year old to a school which is flying anti-bullying banners. Is this grieving six year old acting out or A Bully? Ouch. . . Are you a social reformer or a pretentious moron?
Trust in the system is coming hard for me this morning. Big surprise, huh? The thought of sending the still fragile child back to the stigma factory (school) is crushing me this morning. In hopes of quelling the anxiety, I slid a note into the plastic folder which is designed to facilitate parent/teacher communication.
"Mrs Teacher,
"S is still quite fragile from the death of his parents. If he causes you problems, please call us immediately and let us handle it.
"Thank you for your patience with this tragic evolution."
Plying my trust therapy tools. . . Healing hopes for all. No exceptions.

What a sad but loving note to have to slide into a child's folder for his teacher, arfie. May it result in the patience needed for the evolution to go forward.
From the first days of John's education, a note book was sent back and forth of his "behaviors". ... his therapy started with Birth to 3 program at home. At this time there was No Name to Blame, or to Explain....dx? In later years of public school, the note book was replaced with e-mails daily...weekly as he moved to middle school.
Holding on to your desired Grandparents to take place.... "Will Take Care Of the "it" was not encouraged by school system....
More times than not the response was like separation of Church and State....
no "we'll" take care of the "its at school". "school is school and home is home" were words I heard frequently...ugh and grrrrrr
sending you my big bat and soft walking feet along with Prayers.
(hug)
My observation is that far too many become teachers for the hours and days off. In my world, a teacher is there to facilitate each child's learning, and support them as needed. Believe all teachers should have psychology degrees versus education degrees. Hoping the note will prove a help. Prayers as the journey continues.
You running for office, Simpson?
In you I trust from a safe distance. I'm still barely housebroken. I leave the experting to the experts. Mine is to click or surf on. I love the power of my mighty mouse! Best censorship board ever invented!
Prayers in progress that the note did help. I've only met the teacher twice during the chaos of an official foster care transfer. She wasn't the noisiest cloud in the storm bank, one way or the other. I'm pretty sure I saw a heart under all those academic qualifications which arenae enough to satisfy you. Maybe. More prayers. . .
I also may have this
Than anxiety is worth exploring in your journal, Gaff. . . It sounds allot more real than your agonizing over diets and Trump Theys.
I promise no politics. I have "no comment" on the current admin. I think women are much more smarter and more compassionate..that is why I voted for one ;-) I do have issues, that I will address with an out day session. I think I have them coming up this week.
I do want a GF one day maybe. So I should look less sloppy.
Big hugs and prayers for you all Arf…… You have all been on such a difficult course for quite a while now between being removed from their parents care to their other grandparents can and now this tragic chapter
I couldn't imagine that there wouldn't be some changes in behaviour and actions for a while
I hope that your GK's have great teachers that will work with you..... Gentle hug.... I wish we lived closer to one another and I could help out in some small way..... xo
Hugs and love and support Arfie.
I read the description for parinoia scitzophania (sp) I am pretty conserned. I never thought it was this bad. I always had issues ever since I was a kid.
I go in for day sessions this week.
Yea, those are some gnarly descriptions. My gentle son was remarkably supportive of my long, hard recovery from Child Sex Trafficking. My plight now feels lightweight compared to what he shouldered beneath those gnarly descriptions and the cultural stigma attached.
How do you spell, "Kick 'em while they are down?"
Are we safe yet? Do we have any stronger pills?
