Saying a prayer
Feeling so much at a loss. On my own right now in Athens. Just have to pump myself up. I don't know if it's culture shock or the lack of habit for being in a city and not a monastery. I'll meditate on the good and be self responsible. So much to be thankful for. Prayers for all of us that we make it through today and this week. One day at a time.

It seems like everyone carries their anxiety in the day. Any which way I handle it is ok within in a healthy way. I’d love to burn a candle right now or listen to a zen cd. Totally ok.
Anxiety is not pleasant and I'm sorry you are suffering. I hope you can find some relief soon. It takes different things for different people to relax. Sometimes taking deep breaths and praying helps me.
in my own road warrior opinion, culture shock doesn't set in until you have been there long enough to establish yourself. i support your second theory of novelty away from the comforts of home. it be a common road bug. even seasoned road warriors feel its bite from time to time.
carpe diem, despite the road bugs, father questionarius. vicarious reports requested. athens is one of the hot spots i haven't visited yet. so much world and so little time.

Wow...Athens! That's so cool! I think anyone would feel overwhelmed going from peace and quiet to all of the sights and sounds. I'm confident you'll be OK, but I just said a prayer for you anyway. Hugs.
Thanks Judy! You rock!! I told myself finally that I have my brother’s address on my phone, if I get lost would know where he lives. That made the experience all the more relaxing. I got into just strolling the streets. It’s nice here!
