Say what?
My mom called me to tell me that my cousin in jail is pregnant and will be having her baby in feb. and she has to turn the baby over to the foster care system or family member. My aunt immediately thought of us and called my mom who called me! Of course we said yes! So we have to wait and see what my cousin wants! I don't know or don't think I would keep the baby. I want to keep a open mind that we are caring for the child until the mom comes back. The hardest part to me is that the child will be with us from birth And will be with us for at least a year! I guess I will wait and take things as it comes! God only knows the plan!

Wow! What a surprise. I think you are a generous and caring person to do that. Have you spoken with your cousin to get feedback? What about the father? If your cousin isn\'t capable of raising this baby I sincerely hope her heart opens to the idea of letting you adopt it.

Sounds like a great opportunity to be big in a little persons life. Even better, the babes is family so even if your cousin was able to have custody back down the road, you could keep a special relationship.. The path to parenthood isn\'t always s straight one, for sure!
