I told her about a painting, Christina's World by Andrew Wyeth that was hanging in the room were my uncle tried to get me to have sex with him. I described the painting of the girl on the ground in a field looking toward a house on a hill. Christina has polio and can't walk, but you wouldn't know it from the painting. I told her that I felt like her and I thought she, like I, was afraid to go home, but knew it was inevitible. Just now, out of the office, I looked up the painting. In it, Christina is obviously trying to crawl towards home and seems desperate to get there. She doesn't seem afraid of home. It is funny that I interpreted it that way.
