saturday at sparrow cottage.....

...the scent of banana bread baking in the oven fills this room......smells divine!

setting up the new tv had to be put on hold, need a tech from the satellite company to help.  he's coming sunday between noon and 5 pm.  feel bad that he has to work on sunday, but also pretty excited to see the new tv show off what it can do!

dinner was really good......sam enjoyed it very much.  i ate my salad while waiting on Sam so when he got here I was full of good greens.......but later, at bedtime i had a slice of that angel food cake.  ---light as air, soft and sweet.

sam put the new tv on my triple dresser in the bedroom & moved the hugontious box to the garage......but since we have

to wait for the dish satellite guy to come it freed up time to do other things.  sam took down ceiling air vents from the first floor & i cleaned them this morning.  they were funky.....used some comet spray foam cleaner & a scrub brush......it did a super job.  now they are out on the patio table drying from fresh glossy white paint.  they look brand new!  yaaaaay!

sam did a few other honey dos for me, then i packed up some leftovers for him.......a container of steak tips in gravy, a side of mashed potatoes, sweet corn.......talking about food is making me hungry! 

annie seems to be slowing down some.....watching over her to see if it's temporary or ?  caught her playing statue on the kitchen counter just a minute ago.  she poses like a sphinx & wonders if i'll notice she's up there.  naughty sweet green eyed annie......

(no the kitties are NOT supposed to be on the COUNTER.....but annie likes to show off to Rio.....act like she has more privileges....need to put both of their headshots on the naughty wall........the wall of shame!

rio is full of stuffed beans......he knocked over my cane, knocked the placemats off the table.......chewed up a boatload of kleenex......had a crazy but mighty battle with one of his kitty toys, stole my bendy straw........almost knocked me over running through the bedroom.......he's playing ninja warrior kitty style.........zoooooooming and grabbing and making mischief.  he looks so adorable that it's hard to get mad...........and that is about the time he throws up on the rug.....AGAIN.  sigh, life with kitties. 

love you my friend........time for me to check on the nanner bread.......and maybe eat a snack.  i would love to have you come for dinner and stay for a nice visit.  i think we would have a fine time........the weather is  gorgeous here today.  not too hot, clear blue skies........a perfect day for adventure.  maybe we should pretend to hold hands, jump into a chalk picture and have a jolly holiday!
