Saturday......another beautiful day!
Morning or should I say Nooning.......?
In our area October is a big month for yard sailing. They are held on Friday & Saturdays.......never never on a Sunday, no no! Usually they start at 8 am and end at either 2 or 4 pm heat or nap time depending!! Even out in the boonies where I live they are plentiful.....I passed ten yard sale signs or more on my way to this particular yard sale.
The day before I was on my way home from the store I saw their big professionally done banner. Yup, the neighborhood goes in on a big BIG sign to announce their "Annual Neighborhood Yard Sale This Week-End". It is very common here, you just turn in, pick a street, park and stroll from one sale to the next. You carry on as long as your "sticks" will carry you......at the jackpot house, the woman insisted that I sit and rest in a comfy chair in front of the garage fan........she got me a glass of ice water. It's so downhome and pleasant. They wrapped things up and while her son put things in my car she came out with a plate of cornbread, green beans, mac n cheese, black eyes peas........she had missed her lunch. She said "Hon, would you like a slice of homemade cornbread?" (you have to drawl terms of endearment, it sounds like hunnnnn.....make sure the unnnnn part dips and drawls slow.....it's really cute!)
"Oh my goodness no, but you sure do know how to cook.... so sweet of you to offer!"
She beamed at me, she has beautiful white hair......and such a pretty comb out from her weekly visit to the hairdresser. Honestly I wanted to scoop up more of their toys, but a girl has to be practical. She & her son had so much great stuff.......seriously we probably share "Collectibles DNA".......!!!!!!
I'm a little sore, but seriously don't feel too bad today. Not sure what is causing this arthritis break or semi remission period, but I am not arguing or turning it down. This is a GIFT, a big gift. I feel like I could go out again if I wanted to. Ammmmmmmaaaaaaaaaaazing. Yes I slept in all morning, but when I got up I simply GOT UP. So cool.......feel like ACTION BARBIE. Man.......on Monday I was using my cane and now this, hard to describe.........feel like I'm bubbling up to the surface with joy! If I could grab a gymnast I would pay for cartwheels & backflips across my front yard to celebrate! whaaaaaaaat? too much? nah!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Last night I boiled eggs and taters as I cooked my dinner and then later I peeled and chopped the eggs, mixed the dressing and folded in the taters. At night, like at 10:30.......wild. Yes I had some symptoms, but nothing like I normally would after a big day out. I could do stuff still......incredible.
I'm doing a little laundry, Annie is sleeping on the living room windowsill. This morning she walked up to my chin and nudged me. I rubbed her neck and head --- she curled up close and snoozed. Rio was curled up close to the back of my knees. It is cozy and comforting. Do cats attack or play pretty with turtles? Curious.....never had a pet turtle, just wondering if I could ...... not even sure why I wanna.....lol.
Outside, the leafy green branches are swaying in the breeze.........another glorious 72 degree day, soft sunshine.......ahhhhhhhhhh. Oh My...............there is a tiny green lizard on the french door (outside).
Both kitties are going bananas! Rio is doing vertical leaps, hitting the glass, quick paw swipe and then he meows out his frustration. Annie claimed the chair to watch her little brother try to get the big bad lizard. The lizard (maybe 2.5 inches) is heading south on the door glass.......Rio leaps, lizard freezes........Rio retreats and paces. Annie leaps to the ground and takes a running shot at el lizardo......now Rio is on his hind legs, paws on the glass trying to bat it.......they are so intent, so serious, mesmerized. I feel like a parent trying hard not to laugh at the kids. They are definitely in their element right now. Time to go fold the cotton.........hugs! Based on that play by play description I don't think any sportscasters will worry about their dayjobs being at risk!!!!!!!!
Little Rio looks so bereft......el lizardo finally escaped the glass and disappeared. It's ok Rio.........Rio recuped by swatting Annie's swinging tail and they're off! Have a great day ya'll!

Now if you could just send some my way. Weather is beautiful for one more day but the sandman has not left me with enough sleep or enough energy to function today. Too tired & in too much pain to even enjoy all of the college football on TV right now.

I never stop a garage sales anymore. I have to much stuff as it is. I was going to have a garage sale till I remembered the last one. I am not a person who can sit still. I did make big bucks but then I had to put up with this old gent that talked for 5 hours. Nice guy but give me a break. Decided to give it all to Purple Heart. 27 boxes of stuff. The guy was happy as a lark and me too. Got rid of all the stuff I was saving for the big sale I did not want to do. My friend who always has sales wanted me to bring it to her house. ARE YOU KIDDING ME, all that stuff...no way. I am a done bun. Glad you are having a spurt of feeling chipper. Hugs Naomi xo

My cat is camping out beside the frog\'s jar. Seems he has rediscovered it. And the frog has this constant frown on his face. poor thing. Hope you are having a lovely day and enjoying yourself!
Hm, turtles \'n frogs..............ya suppose either of these would fill the emptiness left by my last 2 cats and KoKo, my bird??
