Saturday

It’s interesting guys, here, within the orthodox community, people have their favorite saints and a passion for their writings and all things about them. It’s a spiritual thing but it at times is something of a surprise to me. There are a lot of different flavors out there. Some folks have their favorite philosophers, or novelists or movie stars or artists. I don’t know why i haven’t thought about this before. Things are good here.

Also it’s so amazing the kind of dignity and respect people offer each other here. It’s not a perfect thing, or because they are perfect but it’s like a gentle loving warm affirmation that people see and consider each other with. Knowing the hard things of life. They’re scrappy and fighters here too, there’s just a kind of softness and acceptance to life. I don’t know if that makes sense. It’s a superficial but a very much felt by me snapshot.

I do a service tomorrow, where I will be ordained, so back to work then for me! I am looking forward to contributing something again.

Have a great weekend!

It’s weird too guys, they’re so hell bent on living by the rules here and have a passion and liking for dissecting them. It’s also as though they are looking to be disappointed in each other. It’s weird, if I offer something of genuine kindness they offer suspicion at times.
I guess that’s their own insecurities coming out.

I guess we each have and ascribe to our own world view. Anything too much outside of that and we are challenged to relate. I’ve been there.

I have a weak mind. I need to get back to America and find a job there. Or find some kind of solution to my life’s insecurity. The elder, Geronta, is now dragging his feet about my return. It feels like a capricious web.. I won’t get dramatic. I am very grateful for all stable things I have. With a blessing I will search for something more concrete.Perhaps things ‘I interpret’ from my boss shouldn’t blow up into life changing realities. Right now I do feel too much at the whim of the powers that be, perhaps I am dramatic in the moment, with a dotage that portends to be very chancey. But it’s that way for any of us. Grateful for the abundance i have. Perhaps i will focus on this day and look to faith in the consideration of my future.

As you can see the floor drops out from under me both mentally and emotionally. I have to take care and understand what position I am putting others in around me.. I can’t just reach out in fear when I know we’re all dealing

Knowing ourselves is, to me, a lifelong journey, Mark.

And your mind moves Fast, weighing balance, options, your surroundings and the people in your life.

Hold on to faith to guide you through all of this.

What an awesome day you will have today! And then soon you can get back to Blue!

You guys, I wrote a bunch of stuff but after what I wrote to my friend, , this is it in a nutshell:

She wrote when I told her
That they’re ordaining me in the Greek Orthodox Church tomorrow:

Seems very cultish!!
Don't do anything that makes you feel uncomfortable

My reply to S

S, I am at a loss. I have huge anxiety at times and have had great mental dysfunction. I realize we all have a story to tell and that idea today is just making me focus on the immediate. I have no one to blame for my plight but me.i have been provided care and sanctuary here and I have liked some of it not all. I don’t think anyone is 100% about their jobs. I’ll do what I can and if another door opens we shall see.
Right now I am practicing my part of
The ordination.

Big hug sweetie

I do think religion when you get to the place you are as in living literally within your faith is cultish

I don't think that's a bad thing in this case as I think faith is good however this is where I see it as a calling

Because it is all consuming

I would just take some time to think about what's right for you without putting pressure on yourself

I don't think there is a right or wrong answer
It's just what you decide what is right for you

God is with you and loves you no matter your decision
