Salt On Wounds

Doubt:
I was told to prove myself today with papers. I don't have a problem proving what I say. Where I have issues is the amount of times that I am asked to prove myself. Everytime so far, I HAVE proven myself. So why do I keep being asked to prove myself on repeating subjects? I don't ask people to make promises because very few promises have been honored and it always ends up hurting me.
