I don't want to do anything crazy, anything I'll regret before I get a med change. I just have to get through this long weekend till next Thursday. I need encouragement to stay strong, to do nothing till after this med change, it's like I have to continually remind myself of this over and over. Don't do anything crazy. Don't do anything at all. Just one more week - I hope the new med works well.

I\'m glad you wrote this concern Heretic. Just take it one moment at a time. One hour at a time. One afternoon at a time. One day at a time. And as you make it through each of these time frames take a moment to pat yourself on the back from making through. If you take a nap, upon waking say to yourself, \"That;s good. I made it through till...(whatever time it maybe.)

This is the hardest work there is for us Heretic (Heck! it would be hard for anyone. You know this). You are able to handle this because you are strong. You have to be to live this life.

Talking to my first psychiatrist I shared with him that I was ashamed to be there talking to him. I felt like needing a shrink was like an admission of weakness. He looked me square in the eyes for a moment before saying with the most seriousness, \"Depressed people are the strongest people I know. They usually have suffered many years alone before finally seeking help.\" Recalling his words have always encouraged me because I know that what his said was true.

It took strength, humility, and clarity of mind to post this request for a hand to get through the next few days. Bravo to you Heretic.

I will keep and eye out for your entries throughout the next few days and respond.

Talk to you soon,

Your friend,

Rebecca
