Roxy and the dog show

Last night, while watching the West Minster Dog Show at Madison Square Garden, I watched as  the beautiful Rottweiler was chosen to be in the top. Our Roxy is such a good Rotty. As I watched the show I thought about how well you trained her. She has never been intimidating or agressive. She is all love! And You, Jeff, were the one who told me that SHE was the dog for me.
So, I decided to make some calls and find out where to get Roxy certified as a Canine Good Citizen. We always talked about being able to take her to the nursing home here in town. When I get this done, I will be able to take her places where people can love on her. I think then I will look into getting her certified as a therapy dog too. Kids in hospitals would love her too.
Thank you, Jeff, for making sure I had her before you left. She keeps me grounded and helps me to remember all of the love you shared with both her and I. I know she misses you. She comes to your side of the bed in the morning, like she always did, whining and tail stub wagging, like she thinks she is going to wake you up. I tell her that Dad isn't here, but he's still watching her. She slinks around the end of the bed and comes to my side where I pet her and we begin our day together.
Love you.
