Rough Day

Today was a hard day. I went up to the Northern part of the state where my son had been living up until about a year ago, when he up and moved to Brazil. It was so hard seeing his vehicle that is just sitting in a driveway, and hearing his stepdad say, "He found himself a new family." 31 years of loving this kid, and going through good and bad times..and he just abandons us. I can't believe the selfishness. OK, both his father and I can be pretty selfish, but not to just walk out of someone's life permanently. My heart hurts.
