Retreat

I had been so disappointed to not go to the Retreat...but now I see it was for the best. To fly ALL the way across the country, without my husband, my dogs...with a little more than a touch of agoraphobia...I am not ready.
Ladies, please consider Florida next year. I know a lot of business owners and have contacts and there are sooo many locations along the Gulf Coast that are not overrun with tourists, believe it or not...There is Panama City, Appalachicola Bay, Destin, Ft. Walton Beach, Pensacola...I could do a lot of the groundwork.
Several months ago we had a Wounded Warriors Retreat that turned out beautifully...no matter, I believe I will be ready by then. I will think ahead and manage my money better so that I can attend. Sadly, there will be more mothers in our group by that time...I have a lot of love to give, the well never seems to run dry and the more I give the better I feel. I think I have found my calling.
Now I mentioned this months ago, but a reminder, please pick up some stones for me please, it will mean a lot!!

Love,
Gina

I was disappointed not to go on the retreat this year as well. Last year was wonderful in Boston, but CA was too far this year and too expensive for our family. I would love to go back to FL as well. My Aunt owns several condos on Sanibel Island right next to the Sun Dial hotel and it is an amazing place to visit!!

Maybe we will see you next year!

In the long range planning for retreats that we\'ve done over the years Florida is a top choice for next year. Of course, the final decision will be made at this year\'s retreat, yet I think you can be assured that 99.99% sure that Florida it will be. We have many moms in that area and we do try to criss cross the country to make it available to as many as possible.

I\'m disappointed too that I will not be attending, yet one thing you can be reassured of is that all of our children are remembered as are we.

At the Tahoe retreat the place for 2015 will be officially announced as it helps everyone to have a year to begin planning and saving. :)

Hugs to all attending and those hoping to next year,
XO Joanie

I vote for Florida! I doubt i would have any luck getting people here to Canada anywat! LOL I believe next year it will be the East\'s turn to host!
I couldn\'t go the first year either. I was not ready to be among a lot of people; plus, I have difficulty meeting new people. The next year I was ready, and it was in the West.
My geriatric memory is sketchy. I will try to find the exact right stone. You may end up with a gravel pit. LOL
Take care of you.
Love and hugs,

As JJ said, we took a poll a couple of years ago for future retreat locations and Florida was one of the top vote getters.....(and yes, I know that\'s not really a word, but it should be!)

We\'ve chosen locales based on the order of that list and yes, Florida is \"next\", unless something happens to change that between now and then.

Moms, you can always send your thoughts and requests to any of the board members at anytime. I\'m sure we will be working on a new list/poll soon as we have nearly exhausted our current list, so be on the lookout for that information.

You, dear one, will be sorely missed this year! Know that Cassi WILL be honored, as ALL of our children are each year.

Much love and tight heart hugs~~

You are on my list Gina--\"get stones for Gina\"--lol
We should have Livingjuicy sent you some from Utah...heck, now she can send you some from Hawaii :)
Will miss you this year...but you will know when you are ready--so glad you are listening to your heart.
A couple of years ago we did a survey and those that participated in the survey voted on Boston/Cape Cod, Lake Tahoe and Florida--all were almost evenly spaced--so we decided as a committee to host in all 3 areas--we selected the cities/places to alternate from east, west, south--I will be discussing the matter with the Executive Board meeting and will get approvals for another survey--so keep an eye out and make your voices heard--we had a 65% turnout on the survey a couple of years ago.
Some of you may notice that it seems like FMO is quieter while the retreat is going...but we are depending on all of you to step up and reach out to moms in need...it is empowering like you are finding Gina...
Gentle days,
AnnM

I know I haven\'t gone now two years in a row, but if the money allows I\'d love to go next year. Florida would be fantastic. I think that\'s the plan as everyone above has said.

I\'m worried about this one, no time to think of another. How do we find enough alone time? and what if one of us gets sick? Leaving one\'s routine, and being in a new place, is always inviting accidents. So I\'m too anxious, what\'s new? Putting my faith in G-d, and love of my soth. Will get to Lake Tahoe in whatever shape I can manage. Can\'t wait to meet the women I already love, Abby
