Restful day
Resting much of day, today. Have to report to doc on Tuesday, so I have to rest.
Shifra's court hearing was pushed up to yesterday and she lost the kids. The judge said that she does not have legal custody of them as she did not adopt them. The kids opinions or the professionals opinions were not considered as "This is not a custody hearing." The mom would have to be found at fault on at least half of a list of 14 character flaws, including abandonment, to consider making other custody arrangements.
Kids are devastated. Shifra says she is OK as she had prayed heavily about this, but I can tell her heart is breaking. So hard to be so far.

So sorry to hear about the hearing results. I can\'t imagine suddenly losing your husband and then having the kids taken away and for them to lose their father and then their family and home. Just too sad. Heartbreaking. Does Shifra had people their that can give her support?

Prayers for the family . Sorry to hear about Shifra and the kids. Are you still planning to go there later? Good idea if you are up to it. She needs you now more than before when there were lots of people with her. Maybe after the woman has the children for a while, she will decide to give them up? Depending upon her lifestyle, they could be in the way??
So sorry. I\'ll pray for the kids, Shifra and all your family that God is with you and strengthening you all emotionally as well as physically. So sad that the law doesn\'t protect the innocent. Ditto what everyone else has said as well, I wish there was a like button.

Im so sorry to hear this. Such a gut wrenching thing to happen on top of all the other tragic events going on. I hope and pray the kids will be safe. You too.

I am still planning on going there, however the judge is letting the kids stay for the rest of school year for \"transition purposes\" and she will get some visitation times. Makes me so mad and so sad. When she tells me she needs me, I will go.
