rest and impatience
my beautiful Blue sees me at the laptop and he wants me to love
and pay attention to him instead... it's so nice to be wanted :) xx
I just found out that Blue also likes to be tickled just like a little kid.
It's really cute. I am so grateful for having him. He makes my world
liveable here when I am back at home. He cries a lot for attention
but I think that's a good thing. Someone to dialogue with and not go
too deeply into the dark miasma.
My reason for coming on to write this morning was really about me
surviving another morning of issues - but that's just what I am learning
that 'I get on with things.' I've started to remember that at the times
when I start to get nervous and overwhelmed. My story today is about finding peace
after a morning of mania - of taking rest after the significant chores were
done - and initially of the impatience to do just that - to rest...
But I found myself when immersing myself in good stories on the tv -
it brought me peace and engagement....just watching those orderly, engaging
stories - calmed me down - and I started to regain my health for the day.
There's probably some cleaning up I can do here - as well as fold laundry
and wash my bed linens. Maybe I will do that tomorrow. This morning really
was intense! I made so many mistakes: lost my debit card, lost my fabric shopping bags,
had to drive twice to the bank, nearly got hit by a car when walking in a parking lot. It was one of those mornings,
like when you're tired, that logic kind of leaves you in it's absence - and brain fog happens and you're a mess
of scrambled eggs.
I was really glad to get home. And so here I am.
I'll take it slow and easy... I hope you guys are having a good day..
It can be hard to rest - sending prayers,
peace and hugs,
Mark

Big hug sweetie.... I am so glad that you're now home safe and sound... All of the rest can be dealt with..... Deep breaths and a big squishy hug....xo
Thanks Janet!
Again, you got me scrambling for my dictionary. This time I met an old friend, "The Miasma Theories." I am horrible with names and didn't recognize it by name, but I sure remember the theories from those 70's college happy hour debates which gave me my first exposure to Coronaville. In case you're interested, this abstract attempts to translate the Miasma Theories into contemporary medicine.

Sometimes I can calm my own mania with reminders that rest is a productive activity. Sometimes doing nothing is something, after all.
