Remote Potentials

Hubs has been on pins and needles for the past week or three. The telecommuting option is officially here. He cleaned out the desk he has occupied for 12+ years yesterday afternoon and? ? ? A new adventure begins?

I've been plying my "Ears open. Mouth shut." mantra as I've listened to his speculations on the remote potentials for several years now. For the most part that hasn't been too hard. It has been someday talk and I don't take someday talk too seriously, even when it's my own. Let me know when someday gets here. Forgive me for not holding my breath in anticipation. Can I have another cup of that libation? Even since he established the official date for joining the company "Remotiot" faction, I continued to hear it as someday talk. There is always a gap between the best laid plans and the final results. I *just* plan on that tick bringing forth unpredictable results. I believe it is better to let go of the plans as they begin to manifest so that I can process what is in my face without letting my control freakitis attempt to force adherance to *The Plan.* The plan is but a seed. The seed must take on a life of its own in order to grow.

Hubs has been in a tailspin this week. I have been encouraging him to keep his finger on his own pulse and act accordingly. So far his dominant thought was to work at the Urban Homestead a few short miles from his corporate lair. Small steps. He called yesterday as he was cleaning out his desk and I found myself blurting that I thought he shouldn't bother unpacking his work station there. Just leave it in the truck and bring it on up here. Your new work space awaits. I was okay with him playing it by ear.

I was asleep when he got in last night. Today feels like a day of renewed potential. Maybe just the change in the season. ?Quien sabe? Yo no. We see what grows.

he's very brave and so are you, I need that kind of bravery to walk forward in life not knowing what the future will bring.
Learning today that I already have many tools in my tool box, I just haven't always been aware that that is what they are (for dealing with the unknown.)
I have some someday thinking to do of my own... and if I am brave enough those moments of ponderation will become reality just like yours!!! You guys inspire me!! Kudos!!
