Remodeling.

Hello Dear friends. Well here it is on Saturday night and I am lying in bed at 8:30. John and I are in the process of remodeling and Oh my. Our remodeling has been a work in process. It started in the spare bedroom in 2014. Finished it. Looks great. My brother painted my kitchen cabinets back in the summer of 2015. While off for Christmas John started painting the walls in the kitchen. Including spraying the ceiling. Well someone not calling any names did not cover up the cabinets very well, so now they have to be touched up. We were not planning on replacing the kitchen floor but yeah that will have to be done also. Our living room bumps right up to the kitchen. The kitchen has a pretty white ceiling and looks terrible compared to the living room. So we decided to go ahead and paint it. We live in a double wide. We have taken the strips off the wall and puttied and sand. What a mess. What a mess. Very stressful. Especially on our marriage. I am about to kill him.  We have lived here for 20 years. It is time for a change . I know it will be worth it at the end.  We went today purchased our new flooring for the kitchen and living room. Doing away with the carpet. Down the road will be our bedroom and bathroom. The only room that will stay the same is Josh's. Please pray that I survive. Lol. Love you all

I can certainly sympathize with you on surviving a remodel. Also remodeling definitely has a snowball effect. A few years ago, we had some water problems in a back bedroom in our basement. We were just going to pull back the carpet and dry it out. Well that turned in to an entire basement being painted and carpeted and a bathroom remodeled ha ha. Now that you\'ve started, there\'s got to be a finish line in site so hang in there. I\'m sure it will look beautiful. Post some pic\'s. Get some rest my friend. Much love. Robin

It will be so lovely when it is done. Then you can really relax and enjoy the fruits of your labor. Peace, Kathy

I can empathize! We have lived here almost 30 years and it seems like something is always in progress (never finished, just in progress...). My hubby just got the baseboards up in the kitchen after the floor has been done so long that it needs replaced. Sigh! I washed the baseboard in the bathroom last week and a bunch of dry wall fell off because it was never finished. Sigh. I thought now that he might retire, we could get things done up nicely but he decided not to retire for awhile. Sigh. Hang in there. I too am praying that you both will survive, and perhaps you could do the same for us?

I\'m with you as we have been in the midst of a kitchen remodel that still is not finished because the order for the flooring got botched. Oy! Still waiting and yes, one job leads to another and you just must have time \"away\" from it too.

The end result is always the prize so hang in there my friend and understanding 100% the stresses involved in these major projects.

Easy does it on yourselves and one another. LOL! Easier said than done, I know. I don\'t want to hear about you on the nightly news unless you\'re a lottery winner! :)

Love YOU,
XO Joanie

Sounds very familiar. When we do projects, we have learned over the years, not to be in the same room! Dan does his part then I do mine or visa versa. Good luck with all your projects. You do know \"little\" projects somehow always turn into big ones.
