'remembering who you are'

after this morning's journal, and after going about my chores and tasks,

I went over to my parents' house to take a long walk to the German Bakery

for coffee and treats with them.

The walk is about 3.5 to 4 miles round trip. I found myself

affirmed by my previous journal (pride and quiet confidence within) to just take care of my little life

and realized when we're all together - everyone is taking care of his or her own life too.

It felt very good to be there with them on that walk. I felt like I understood 'survival'

in a meaningful, grateful way - and felt reinforced by my Dad and Stepmom's jovial

inspiration when taking that walk. It's great to be around their playfulness and I felt grateful to

be a part of it.

After we made it back to their house - I left to come home and so I did.

I got home and felt like I was untethered and in the moment with no depth of perspective at all

- not upset but just not so focused...

I just decided to use my experience that I have used in the past - I decided to "remember who I am."

I have the usual things I watch on TV at this time... I have the chores I need to own around my apartment.

I have Blue here snoozing, master kitty, side kick.. and I have the things I want to get done today

and tomorrow. I took a walk out to the mailbox to get back to owning my charge

- and am just getting back to the sustenance and peacemaking

that taking care of your life can bring...being self responsible and getting down to business.

I feel I can do this.

Have a great Saturday night you guys!!

One thing I am realizing too. I don’t know if you can relate to this but food and drink are such a powerful draw to me in that they are something that connect me to humanity and are something we all do. It feels momentous. In a healthy mind set I can’t over for it, but at times when I feel so untethered food and drink can be something I go for.

Yes, the use of food and drink to connect with our selves and with others is natural.

Here's to finding your way through to the changing balance!
