Relationships
I thought about today how I am so desperate for relationships and friendships at times but then thought of the differences a rough patches I or we experience with each other. I thought of this quote and it affirmed that I am heading in the right direction. The extreme structure here and the different people have helped me own the relationships in my life. Knowing that things can't be perfect. And Blue has been vital in the understanding of this as well. Tolstoy said it well:
Leo Tolstoy famously believed that
a happy marriage depends less on initial compatibility and more on how couples manage their differences, stating, “What counts in making a happy marriage is not so much how compatible you are but how you deal with incompatibility”. He emphasized lasting commitment over fleeting passion.

Big hug sweetie..xo
It seems no matter where we are or what path we’re on, relationships still bring up the same lessons. I’ve been learning that maybe the rough patches aren’t interruptions, but part of how we’re shown another way to see things.
Thanks Jan and Bob!
I read all your journals, and consider what you share to be profound, elevated to make sense in both writing and in person.
I look at the number of years of marriage I share with hubs, 45 and I consider all the changes we've balanced through, and I have to say, it's a lot of everything that has been mentioned here - and it continues to change as we change.
Here's to you!
Thanks Mid!! Appreciate you very much!!
leo and sophia had 48 complex years and 13 children worth of research on that subject. i am inclined to respect his authority.
i like to sing along with susana clark when i start relationships of any flavor, especially in the formative stages.
ya got to sing like you don't need the money
ya got to love like you'll never get hurt
ya got to dance, dance, dance like there's nobody watching
ya got to come from the heart if you want it to work
thanks arfie! ((HUG))
