relief

today went better than i had thought!!!!!!!! i read my victim impact statement without alot of trouble i was shaky and nervous but that was about it i got teary and wanted to cry so what was the verdict??? well he is sitting in jail right now!! after hearing my statement that had other women in the court room teary eyed i think i made a real impact because with the original plea deal the judge gave him a year in county jail before he could follow with the plea deal and all the things that go with it it was hard to hear the judge but i do believe that the judge said something as to how this has caused severe pain and suffering and because i am a considered a volunerable adult the damage was agregious i think the word was anyway i cried some happy tears at the end i am safe and so are alot of other women and children tonight and that made all this court crap and the waiting for court a little easier to handle tonight i helped keep someone else safe i have gone through hell and back and now one more person never becomes a victim of his for now. i consider myself EXTREMLY lucky there are so many who get ripped off when it comes to the court process i did not think he would get the time he did it was suppposed to be stay of ex and he would have had to mess up but he got time today was it that powerful of a statement? i can only guess it was and i was not sure how it sounded but i gave it a try i did not even need anyone to go up to the stand to read it with me i needed to do that on my own in my eyes thought i would share the news with you all my ds family who have supported and been here with me through this all thank you all so much for all the prayers hugs well wishes and thoughts of happiness it made the biggest difference and i want you all to know that well i am off to watch some tv and i am looking forward to a good nights sleep with some of this weight lifted
