regrouping, looking for a shoulder

you guys, i am not doing so well, but i am trying to regroup, and perhaps through

quiet prayer or reaching out, i'll find my order again.

feeling not so good at all.

i want to talk to a friend and yet I know we've all got to pull our own weight.

I left a message for my therapist who I will speak to tomorrow morning.

Right now, my high tide is like a storm - and I suppose to make it somewhat normal

to myself - though it is really uncomfortable - I know I have to make sense of it -

order myself and move on. Wouldn't it be great to have a partner...I don't know

if it would be cool to vent to my partner - but I know if we were building something

together - common experiences and goals - wouldn't THAT be something that

would keep me focused and less apt to fragment and spiral with sickness.

I suppose I am reminded of what Ralph Waldo Emerson said:

"The only person you are destined to become is the person you decide to be."

I'll take that.

Becoming the person I decided to be has offered many a lesson in being careful what ya wish for because you might get ^it^. Sigh. . . Where's my perfect life? ? ? Is it a good thing that those lessons in being careful what I wish for also offered sub-lessons in those diffs between success and happiness? Getting what I want remains easier than wanting what I get. Studying. . .

Yea, having a partner is pretty great, even on the days (most days) where it is not cool to vent at him. Good thing I have places like this one where I can vent without hurting the love of my life. Even for something as great as having a partner I can lean on, some days is better than others.

Where's that friggin' picture perfect life? ? ?

Big hug for you Marky...... I still wonder why your pdoc doesn't give you a prn for the times when you're struggling sweetie.... I would bring this up with him if it were me

Sometimes I just take an extra Seroquel.... I have my pdoc prescribe it in a smaller dose to I can simply take an extra 25 or 50 mg if I need it

I'm not sure what you're on but if you're on one large dose and the med is working well could he give you a small dose of the same med or something for anxiety??

I know we've talked about this before sweetie and my memory sux ... It's nice to know (I think) that if you need to take a little something extra to be more comfortable you can IMHO....

Big hug... I hope that you'll feel better soon LC....xo

Sorry to hear mark. I think it’s important to weight the thought processes and what we learn in therapy with the physical manifestations of the illness - I know I am staying super in tuned to my anxiety and agitation these days.

In my own personal realm of sorting these days, i feel I need to find groups of new friends rather than trying to put all my eggs in one basket of a relationship. It’s been very challenging days for me too because I haven’t been able to socialize or see anyone and there doesn’t seem to be an end in sight!!! My friends with families are so busy I don’t want to bother them. Seriously, these support groups have been my life line in these trying weeks! I know it’s not the same thing but I am grateful for it. Sometimes though I still need to step away from the screens because I find anxiety rises with too much computer screens.

These are all such strange times. Just a question, would you ever consider working part time at your neighborhood Starbucks? I think you’d be someone who really connected with the regular customers - I dunno - just thinking aloud!
