reflections.......enjoy your week-end xo
Hi De Ho Hi De Hi Gonna Get me A piece of the sky Gonna get me Some of that Old Sweet Roll I'm singin' Hi de hi de hi de hi de Hooooo
(sung by Blood, Sweat & Tears)
This is what was playing in my brain this morning. Sharing with you like Show N Tell......
I bought this Clean & Clear facial wash called Morning Burst. It may sound silly, this stuff smells like zesty lemon --- helps me feel more alert. It also brightens the skin. Ha ha......two happy dance steps in one. I've been using their moisturiser on and on for years. (skin feels soft /gives you a subtle glow) The truth? It really does.......don't mean to play like a commercial, just happy about it.
Yesterday was very satisfying. I made the bed and I vacuumed. Beijing wants to exhibit the art installation next (aka my vacuum cleaner)......followed by London and then Paris.......lol! Mankinds fight against dirt will go on!
Bruce came over and freed up the landscape.......now I can see driveway, sidewalk and patio again. The leaves are lovely.......truly they are. It helps to have things pretty with a dash of order. Feels sooooo good.
He helped bag donations and load up my trunk. Gotta check myself..... Sometimes I complain about Bruce.....he's pretty laid back and that can drive me crazy...........(I think my guardian angel picked ol laid back Bruce out personally!) God keeps trying to teach me WAYS to slow down............to stop hurrying, to take it easy..........and here is Bruce live and in person showing me PHYSICALLY how to chill and still I fight that whole type A stuff. Gotta keep letting go........pry my fingers off the joy stick in a vast last bid to control the universe and seriously...... let it go!
It's a big adjustment when your health insists that you no longer work, go and do, live the same way. I had a lot of responsibilities with my former position.......a lot of variety. After more than two decades of hectic organized lunacy it makes sense to me that it is a BIG ADJUSTMENT still. Takes a while to change one's spots..........
The organization I was with just celebrated their 35th anniversary --- I am feeling reflective. They invited me to the international awards dinner and I was so afraid that if I went they would present me some kind of statue or something........that everybody would stand and clap after some kind of goofy speech.........just thinking about it makes me feel nauseous. I just couldn't take that. I couldn't. I couldn't face the retirement party they tried to throw me either. I don't want to puddle into a muddled mess, but that is how it would roll. Maybe someday God will get me to a place where I am no longer self conscious, where I can be publicly gracious about having to stop work......about losing my health.
I have been trying to find the light, the hope, see the sky......feel the wind.......cherish the rain.......watch the ever changing landscape outside my window. Sometimes I wonder who that other woman was.......that take charge --- storm the hill woman? I used up all my big guns........it's just another quiet day here. Puttering on low...... Pretty worn out from yesterday, going to enjoy resting up today and tomorrow so I can go to the doc on Monday.

That zesty lemon stuff sounds great...Rusters may buy some as you\'re the best commercial for it! Happy that Bruce helped with stuffs and made your views of your turf/world lovelier...go Bruce! Yup, his pace should rub off....we all zip around.
No doubt it\'s a HUGE adjustment from hyper speed to low speed. Sounds like you\'re finding it though. Enjoy your day of resting, reflecting, living with your furkids....good luck at the doc on Monday too. Now you\'ve put that song in MY head LOL xxoo
Hi Ruthie! Glad Bruce cleaned up the leaves for you etc...also boxing up stuff for Goodwill. Sounds like you had a productive day. Good to hear the happy in you. You\'re a great friend. Have a good Sat. Today is my hubby\'s B-day. Gonna nap before my son& family get here. My son & d-I-L are cooking. I tried journaling yesterday , but DS chewed it up on me. Will journal tonight or tomorrow. Love ya
I know, it surely does feel good to get the house chores tackled and at least a few things in order! I have to laugh ... we are trying to get the house cleaned and it was so far gone with all the life craziness, that we are having to do deep cleaning on each room. WEll, we were seeing the end coming, and lo and behold if the first rooms on the list aren\'t already gross again. Hey, no fair! lol. I haven\'t even finished the first round yet. I solve this by trying to spend time in the clean rooms instead. haha. I keep reminding myself as you do that we can slow down and it really will be AOK. Bruce sounds like my hubby haha. Hope you enjoy some restful time ruthie. xoxo
Hugs to you and the kitties! Rest up! Enjoy the peace! Rest for me too! I\'m in an insomnia cycle.
