Reeslynn's Rash and my doings
Well, yesterday I had to sit for Gray and Rees. Had to get up at 4 am and drive down there. When I was changing Rees' diaper, I noticed a bull's eye on her upper leg. At 9 am I took her to the sitters by 4 pm she was covered with them. 5 pm her doctor said that it was a severe reaction to mosquito bites. Maybe most would be satisfied with that. But my daughter, who is a calm cool cucumber, is quite upset as Rees was bit by a tick a few weeks ago and the poor child is miserable. Benadryl is not helping. She's going to take her to ER tonight if not better. Anyone else ever see something like this. She has them all over.
Me. I'm managing. I swear IVIG is giving me more bad days than good. I had a hard choke two weeks ago, spiked a fever two days later, and have just finished the antibiotics (which helped quickly.) I've asked the neuro if I could skip this week's IVIG and see how I am. Less than a month to Chicago. I will be happy for a treatment plan again.

Bless her heart. It does look uncomfortable. There is clearly a bite in the center of each. Mosquitos make the most sense due to the pattern of being on most of the exposed areas.
Our experience with tick bites is the reaction is in that one spot. Even in a bad reaction the one spot gets bigger and more bulls eye and swollen and angry. It does not look like this.
I wonder if bathing in an oatmeal bath and a lotion might help. If they get infected then they might give an antibiotic but right now they look itchy but not infected. Maybe an anti itch medication plus a systemic allergy medication. We gave our children benadryl but not sure on the lower age limit. Cortisone cream might help.
You must be exhausted with the early drive. Sorry about the choke and the need for antibiotics. Chokes are scary. I have had to modify what I eat and how I eat it. For sure the speech therapy time was helpful. Have you been able to get help with that?
Will hope things settle down for you and improve. I have no experience with IVIG but will be interested to see if the break from it helps. I am hoping you get a treatment plan that is helpful to you. Hugs, Marie

You\'ve got a lot on your plate now and a treatment plan is important . I didn\'t do so well with ivig however plasmapheresis did wonders for me. Sometimes it takes time to find what works best for you and I do hope things turn around sooner than later .

They do have dogs. I had thought ringworm at first, except that there is clearly a wound in the center of each ring. Nobody else had bites or rash, though I had Grayson Saturday, so she might have been exposed to something he wasn\'t on that day.
Poor baby, and extra stress for you. I hope skipping the IVIG is good for you. I have never had one. Hug!
